Galaxy Z Flip 8 and Z Fold 8 are selling 20% better than last year’s models in Europe

Samsung has revealed that sales of the Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8, and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra are 20% higher in Europe than sales of last year's Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7. Preorders for the newest foldable phones have already exceeded the company's expectations despite their higher prices.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 is the most popular of Samsung's three new foldable phones, accounting for 40% of all preorders in Europe. The remaining preorders are for the Galaxy Z Flip 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.

In Europe, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 is priced at €1,299 for the 256GB version, while the Galaxy Z Fold 8 with 256GB of storage costs €2,000. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra has a starting price of €2,199 in most European countries.

The Galaxy Z Flip 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra are each €100 more expensive than their respective predecessors, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7. This is due to soaring memory chip prices, which have put additional pressure on smartphone brands such as Samsung.

Menno Van Den Berg, President of the European Telecom Office at Samsung MX, said, “It is amazing to see the reaction to our new Galaxy Z series across Europe. Surpassing our preorder targets for the previous-generation foldable range demonstrates strong and growing consumer demand for foldable innovation. In particular, the reimagined Galaxy Z Fold 8 has captured our customers' imagination ahead of its launch on August 7.
